Fall Family Fish Fry

10/30/2011
Aunt Peggy's house

This has been a very hard year for our family, but I think Pappaw would be very proud of us for continuing family traditions, like the fish fry.  We all miss him so much.  I ate a bowl of vegetable soup in his honor.
Aunt Peggy had a game for the kids where they picked stickers to make faces on their pumpkins.

Field Trip

Ty's first field trip at preschool was on Oct 21 to S&H Campground in Greenfield.  Dallas and I tagged along, and we had a great time!  The kids played on the playground equipment, in the bouncy houses, took a hayride, picked pumpkins, and ate a picnic lunch.

Dallas fit right in with all the big kids.  He just ran right along and played with them like it was nothing.
Ty talking to his teacher, Mrs. Heideman.  He loves her.

Ty's class.  You can't see him because he's sitting in the back row, next to Mrs. Heideman of course.
Here he is.

As we were walking back to the haywagon for the return trip to the playground, Ty grabbed Dallas's hand to lead him back to the wagon.  It just about melted my heart.

Enjoying some turkey sandwiches...
...and cookies!

One last round in the bouncy houses before we left.

Ty's Birthday

Here's what we did on Sunday morning, the morning of Ty's fourth birthday.  Watched cartoons.

And enjoyed a little cake.

Birthday cookies and milk.

Ty's birthday crown from preschool.

Dragon Cake

Ty has been talking for MONTHS about his dragon birthday cake.  For the past several months, he has been really in to the movie "How to Train Your Dragon."  And he decided (completely on his own) that he was having a dragon birthday party.  And Mommy was happy to oblige.  (It just took me a while to figure out how I was going to make a dragon cake.)

Ty's birthday present from Dallas.

I'm 4!!!

Tuttle's Orchard and Pumpkin Carving

Playing at Tuttle's Orchard with Trista, Elisha and Ellie

Picking apples...and sampling a little too!

Nothing says "fall" like an apple cider slushie.

After we went to the orchard, we came back to our house and ordered Pizza King and carved pumpkins.  No better way to spend a fall Friday evening if you ask me!
