Maternity Leave

Well I can hardly believe that my 6 weeks at home with my boys has come to an end. It was so much fun gettting to try out the life of a stay at home mom! I wish I could stay home with them more. I really wasn't ready to go back to work (especially knowing that I'm never going to get another big chunk of time like that to be off), but such is life. Here are some of the highlights of our time together.

(Oh yeah, we let Daddy participate in some of our activities too!)

Dallas did alot of sleeping (and crying...and eating)

Ty's very first finger painting (and to all those wondering why I'm letting him finger paint on the living room carpet....it's Color Wonder, the best invention ever!)

Contemplated the meaning of life

Mommy rested up for the next round

Struck a pose

slept and struck a pose simultaneously

hid out

Helped Mommy with Dallas

played with cousins

more sleeping

played horsey

worked out

played with Stephen

took baths

built a snow fort

Watched so many movies the DVD player broke...the favorites were The Jungle Book (AKA "Man Cub"), 101 Dalmations, Ice Age and Cars.

Just relaxed

Found new and creative ways to go down a slide

And, finally, on Mommy's last weekend home we went to the Indy Children's Museum for the first time...
Ty had a blast seeing the train exhibit

He was a little freaked out by the dinosaurs.

By far, his favorite thing at the museum was this big trough of water...doesn't take much to entertain him.

Here's what Dallas did all day at the museum

I had a blast with you, boys. I wish it didn't have to end.
