The Tigers and the Aliens

Dallas's team....the Area 51 Aliens

Ty's Team...the Tigers

Dallas hitting

The fan club

Here's Dallas sharing his rice krispy with Grandpa Jerry.  That much nicer than what he did when Justin asked him to bring him back a blow pop from the concession stand.  He brought it back wrapped up all nice and neat and then said, "Here you go, Dad.  I sucked on it a little and I dried it off in my armpit."  I still laugh every time I think about that.
Ty's team has been really fun to watch this year.  They are finally to the point that they understand what they are doing (for the most part) and are actually playing ball!  Ty has been hitting well and is learning how to hit down the third base line (instead of right to the first baseman like he was doing at the start of the season) and is throwing hard and accurate.  His team beat the only undefeated team in their league the other night.  It was awesome!

Dallas's team rode in Justin's truck in the parade.

Soccer, here we come!

Shaving cream fight

May 30, 2016
Justin had planned to have a shaving cream fight with the boys on Thursday to celebrate their last day of school, but with Dallas puking it got delayed until we got home from Holiday World.

Needless to say, the boys thought this was about the most fun thing ever and they say they will never forget it.  Perhaps a new tradition is in the making.  That daddy of theirs sure knows how to have some fun!

Holiday World

May 27-30, 2016
We got off to a rough start with Holiday World this year.  Trista and Elisha couldn't come down until Sunday because they had a funeral.  So Owen was supposed to ride down with us.  Then we ended up having to have him ride with Mom and Jim and we had to leave a half day later than we had planned because Dallas was puking for a day and a half before we left.  Ugh.  But once we finally got down there, things went much more smoothly than I figured they would with 6 kids and only 4 adults for the first half of the trip....

There are 2 toads and a lizard in here that the kids caught.
Ty was tall enough this year to ride everything but the Thunderbird (not that he would anyway...)
Owen was tall enough to ride everything.  And he did...

On Ellie's favorite ride...the Raging Rapids

Ellie got up the courage to ride the Howler with me this year.  After her first ride she was hooked and the smaller kids all rode it about a hundred times over two days.

Back at the campground... Thankfully, we were able to get this spot.  I screwed up and somehow managed to book a non-electric site, which we didn't find out about until Jim had the camper all set up and went to plug it in. GULP!  Luckily, they had one more electric site available and gave that one to us. WHEW!  I felt horrible, of course, but the campground people saved my skin!

Day Two...

At about 4:45 some storms were in the area, so they shut the water park down.  So here are all the kids in front of the non-functioning play area.

Back to the regular park for more rides before we had to leave...

Ellie talked us in to one last trip on the raging rapids.  I got SOAKED and had to ride all the way back to the campground with wet shorts.  YUCK.
