Farm

Here are a few updated pics of what's going on around the Barnhart "homestead."  Here are my 4 hens, who are each now happily laying an egg a day!

My first lettuce harvest

And the newest addition....our HONEY BEES!  We ordered them on Ebay and they came in the mail.
Here's Justin installing them into their hive.  And he didn't even get stung!  Wooohooo!
Here's the queen.  She kinda hard to see in the cage, but we've seen her twice since then in the hive.  The bees are doing great, making honey and hatching lots of little baby bees!

Parade

The boys' baseball parade

All season they had been wanting to get snow cones at the snow cone place.  Each week we kept missing them and getting there right after they had closed, so on parade day they finally got their snow cones!

My Kindergarten Graduate

Well I can't believe it, but Kindergarten is over.  Despite a few behavioral hiccups, Ty came through in fine style!

I'm so proud of him!!

Holiday World 2014

Here are some of the highlights from our annual trip to Holiday World

Dallas and his best buddy, Jack

Ty was obsessed with the map this year.  He always wanted to have it out so he could find where we were and show us the best way to get to where we were going.

We were walking behind this alligator for a while before he finally turned around to say hi to the boys.  As he walked off, he went behind the fence that you can see there on the left side of the picture.  Ty asked if he was going back there to get in the dumpster to eat some trash.  Justin and I about laughed ourselves silly.  I guess he's seen too much Swamp People.

Finishing up the trip with a campfire hot dog.
