Random Fall Fun

The boys have been spending a lot of time over at Cooper's fishing in the creek.  Several large catfish have been caught.

Sophie had a litter of 6 adorable kittens while we were in Wisconsin!

More fishing and kayaking...

Fall Sports

For his fall sport this year, Dallas chose flag football.  He is really enjoying it a lot.

And his 2nd

And Ty enjoying a snow cone after complaining that he was cold.

Ty wanted to play fall ball instead of soccer this year.  He  is really starting to come alive as a ball player.  He even has pitched a little.

Boys' Baptism

In typical Dallas fashion, when Tina was telling everyone his name, here was his reaction.

The boys both said the water was really cold, as evident by Dallas's face.

Here they are with their buddy, Miss Judy.

Their friend ,Caleb, also got baptized with them.

Back to School

Ty starts 4th grade this year, and he is SO excited that he gets a locker!  For weeks leading up to school, he would tell literally anyone who would listen that he gets a locker at school now.
Here he is with said locker.

Dallas's new shark backpack didn't arrive in time for the first day, so here he is sporting his new gear on the second day.

Iron River 2017

July 7-15, 2017
We usually stay in Minoqua on the way up so that we can eat at the Paul Bunyan Cook Shanty.  This year we added in some go-carts too!  Ty and I rode together and got one that was way faster than Justin and Dallas's, so we had a great time tormenting them.  I don't get an opportunity like that often, so I had to take advantage.

We also stopped at Little Bohemia to see the John Dillinger bullet holes.  Pretty interesting...

Since we arrived in Iron River a little before check in, we stopped at Moon Lake and played at the beach for a bit.

We only had 2 rainy days the whole week.  Here are the boys going out with Justin on the first rainy day.  Justin wasn't feeling well on the other rainy day, so they had to play indoors.

A lot of tubing was done throughout the week!

On the evening of our first full day there Justin decided to stop in the middle of Eagle Lake on the way back to the cabin and cast a musky lure for a bit and scored this beauty.  43 1/4"

One morning I woke up to Justin bursting into the bedroom all shaking saying, "Blaine, you gotta get up and come see this!"  Two nice northern one right after the other. 40.5" and 34.5"

In memory of Papaw, we are all wearing one of his hats.  I'm wearing the "I" hat that Uncle Bill gave me for catching the biggest fish the very first year that Collin and I came.
