Christmas at Pappaw Taylor's

Ty finally got his remote control jet that he asked Santa for.

Christmas at Mammaw Ogden's

Christmas Day was interesting for us.  Justin had brought home some kind of virus from work and so we were all sick with a bad cold on Christmas Day.  In the middle of lunch at Mammaw's I noticed yellow mucous coming out of Dallas's eyes.  This above picture is right after I noticed that.  Once he knew he had pink eye, he refused to eat anymore and just wanted to pout.  About what, I'm not sure.  But when the presents came out he perked up, of course.  He got kinetic sand, which he loves and plays with all the time.

Ty got this robot that shoots nerf bullets.  He said it was his favorite present overall that he got for Christmas.  Unfortunately, we had to go home after Mammaw's and skip going to Grandpa Barnhart's in the evening like we usually do since we didn't want to give everyone there our germs.

Merry Christmas

Cookies for Santa and "Missis Clos" by Ty.  He put them right by the wood stove so Santa would see them when he came down the chimney.
The boys were really mystified as to how Santa got that air hockey table in his sack.

Dallas's turtle that grows when you put it in water.

Dallas's beyblade that you can tell it where to go.

Santa also brought the boys their own iphones so that they can play games and not have to ask for Mommy or Daddy's phone all the time.  That's working out well!

Aunt Kimmy spent Christmas morning with us, and she brought the boys presents also.  So she got to have her own Christmas tree to put her presents under.  The boys got a ton of Legos!

Dallas's First Lost Tooth

Around Thanksgiving Dallas turned up with a loose tooth.  Every day I would say, "Dallas you're about to lose that tooth.  It can't hold on much longer."  And every day it would hold on a little longer.  It was so loose, it looked like it was just hanging on by a thread, but it would NOT come out.  We even tried tying it to the doorknob twice and it didn't come out.
Finally, one Monday morning at school, he pulled it out.  I'm really sad that both of them lost their first tooth at school, but what can you do?

He put his tooth in his yellow tooth fairy pillow that he requested from Grandma Shirley (and that she rushed to make him over Thanksgiving because we were sure it was coming out soon) and the tooth fairy brought him $2 and a candy bar.

Cookie Makin'

Ada and Owen spent a weekend at our house, so we all decided to go over to Mammaw Ogden's house and decorate her trees and make Christmas cookies.  She is living back at her house now and has a newly redone basement!

Here are the boys sitting on Santa's lap.  This year all of the grandkids decided to wear ugly sweaters so here are the ugliest sweaters that Goodwill had for kids.
