Dallas is 1!!

My baby is 1. I can't believe it! Here are a few highlights from his party. First of all, let me admit that I bought the red icing. After the pink tractor incident at Ty's 2nd birthday party, I wasn't about to attempt red icing again. But everything else I did myself. Here's the finished product.

I was so sure that, given Dallas' voracious appetite, he would just rip into his cake and have it everywhere. But, to my amazement, he did exactly the same thing as Ty and just picked at it. I must admit, I was disappointed, but he got a little messy by the end of it.

Fun in the Tub

Here's Ty playing his first musical instrument. He told me it was his "harp." (I think he got that from the show "Little Einsteins" because I don't know where else he would have heard of a harp.) This is actually a water wheel from a tub construction set that Santa brought him. He's definitely got some imagination!
Here's Ty playing the jazz clarinet and Dallas on vocals.

Christmas: Installment 5

Christmas at Pappaw Taylor's
The kids love playing this game at my dad's house. It's a bulldog that "sleeps" and you try and take his dog bones away from him without waking him up. If you wake him, he snaps and growls. It scared the kids to pieces. Ty about jumps out of his skin every time it happens. Very entertaining.

Christmas: Installment 4

Christmas Morning
Dallas' First Christmas

He hasn't really figured out unwrapping, so Ty helped him open his presents.

And of course, like any one year old, he only wants to play with the boxes...not his actual toys.

Santa brought them this new train table. I think Daddy was more excited about it than they were. And they were pretty excited!
