Justin's been making bee hives in the workshop for the past few weekends and he always has his little helper with him. Mostly he spends his time running screws in that piece of wood in the picture. He is just so cute, it cracks me up. The other night I was reading a bedtime story to him and Ty, and it got to a point in the story (about a mother and son) where the mother says, "This kid is driving me CRAZY!" I said something like, "Mommy thinks that about you two on occasion." Dallas's response was..."Yeah and then you say, 'You're killin' me, Smalls.'" Haha! I guess I have to be careful what I say cuz he's obviously listening!

Blue and Gold Ceremony
Ty's first official Blue and Gold ceremony for Cub Scouts. Here's his centerpiece that he made.
Since we started late Ty got his wildcat badge at this ceremony. He will get his tiger badge shortly.

The cutest Cub Scout ever!
Goodbye, Tooth #2
Justin helped Dallas pull his second tooth. This time the tooth fairy brought him $5 and some big league chew.
Justin is teaching at the carpentry apprenticeship on Wednesday nights so I put the boys to bed. One night recently when I was putting them down they were looking through this I Spy book together and it was just the sweetest thing. I couldn't resist taking pictures to show them how they used to get along when they are teenagers and fighting over some girl. Hopefully not :)
Dallas is 5
Before we get to Dallas's birthday, I have to tell about our latest adventures. Ty has joined Cub Scouts. His first activity was the Pinewood Derby, which of course was the same day as Dallas's birthday party. At least it was early enough that the boys could all go to that and be back in time for the party.
Here he is sanding his car
At the races
Ty was so excited because he got a trophy for third place and one for having the most colorful car. He had to take just about everybody at the party into his room and show off his trophies. Very cute!
BIRTHDAY BOY!
Here's Dallas on the morning of his birthday. Justin went to the store and got him some special cinnamon rolls. As you can see from his expression he's not exactly a morning person, even on his birthday.
Party time!
Dallas invited his preschool class so he had lots of friends at his party.
Justin and I got him a new Spider-Man bike!
