Summer Fun

My best friend, Jocelyn just had her 3rd baby boy, and she drove up from Cincinnati for a visit.  It was so awesome to see her and her boys!

This year at Ty's baseball tournament the boys did great and made it to the semi-finals.  At the end of the regular season they beat the Blue Jays (which is the team that Cooper is on) who were previously undefeated.  It was such an exciting game, and we were hoping for a rematch in the tourney final, but no such luck.  Maybe next year...

A day at Geist with Dad....

Here we are giving Papaw Taylor his Father's Day gift...Enchroma glasses.  They are special lenses that help people with color deficiency see color more normally.  It seemed to have good results.  He said that he could tell much more difference in shades of green than he ever could before.  And a few days later he sent me a text saying that for the first time in his life he was able to see the green in traffic lights!

July 4 Fish Fry

This year we had some trouble with the weather that put quite a damper on the fish fry.  July 4 was on a Monday, but the weathermen said that it would be raining Sunday evening through Monday.  So we moved the fish fry to Sunday hoping to get it in before the rain.  Well....true to form it rained all day on Sunday and was dry on Monday.  Grrr...  We had kind of a small turn out this year, and we all had to sit in the garage.  But it was fun gorging on fish and dessert anyway.
