Justin and I finally got fed up enough with the mice in our back shed to take his parents up on their offer for some kittens. So....meet Bobcat and Sophie, the newest additions to our menagerie.
Dallas named Bobcat. He kept saying, "Get it? Cuz she's a cat and she's a bobtail...so Bobcat." A little confusing because she's a girl with a boyish name (just like me).
Ty named Sophie. It's so funny because each kitten has her respective boy's personality. Sophie is much more timid and reserved, but when she thinks nobody is looking she's playing and wrestling with Bobcat and stalking critters. She's a good hunter already. Bobcat is very friendly and playful and has no problem exploring new places (like Dallas) and chasing Reecie's tail. Already we have found 2 dead birds in the yard and much less evidence of mice in the shed (yay!) so overall I think they are a success.
